COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – It was a golden moment recently for a long time member of the Coldwater Noon Rotary Club.
Jim Lyon was recognized a week ago at Noon Rotary’s regular Tuesday meeting for a pair of milestones with the club. Lyon was congratulated for his 50 years with the club and 50 years of perfect attendance.
Lyon was President of the club for the 1975-76 calendar year and became a Paul Harris Fellow in 2003. The fellowship is the organization’s highest honor named after the founder Rotary International.
Outgoing Noon Rotary President Scott Ohm said the club is looking forward to the next 50 years of Jim’s membership.
Last week’s meeting also saw the ceremonial passing of the gavel from Ohm to Jeff Budd, the new president of Noon Rotary for the next year.
