COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The annual American Amateur Baseball Congress Mickey Mantle baseball regional tournament in Coldwater starts Thursday.
The tournament features the host Coldwater Redbirds and six other teams from Michigan and Illinois will be competing for the two spots in the national tournament at Waterbury, Connecticut.
The round robin tournament begins at 10:00 a.m. Thursday morning at Lowe Field. Coldwater will face the Michigan Bulls at 8:00 p.m. Thursday night. They will take on Foutch Strike Zone at 12 noon Friday and the Ottawa, Illinois Mustangs at 8:00 p.m. Friday night.
Consolation games will be played at Borden Field Saturday.
The semifinals will start at 10:00 a.m. Saturday morning at Lowe Field with the finals at 2:00 p.m..
