UNION CITY, MI (WTVB) – The Branch County Board of Commissioners approved a resolution Tuesday that calls for the Village of Union City to annex a small piece of property at 1268 Arbogast Road in Union Township.
MA-Michigan asked the village for the annexation and a special use zoning approval in April for a stackable Class C cannabis cultivation license under the Michigan Medical Marijuana Program.
Commissioners passed the resolution following a public hearing in which there were no comments.
Union City Village Manager Chris Mathis recently said medical marijuana would only be allowed in areas zoned industrial.
