COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The Coldwater Redbirds dropped their opening game in the American Amateur Baseball Congress Mickey Mantle Regional Baseball Tournament at Lowe Field Thursday night, as they were beaten by the Michigan Bulls 15-0. The Bulls are the defending regional and national champions.
The round robin portion of the tournament will continue on Friday. The Redbirds will face Foutch Strike Zone at 12 noon and the Ottawa, Illinois Mustangs at 8:00 p.m..
The tournament semifinals will take place at 10:00 a.m. and 12noon on Saturday with the finals at 2:00 p.m..
The two finalists will advance to the National A.A.B.C. Tournament in Waterbury, Connecticut.
