COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The Coldwater Redbirds will play their final game in the AABC Mickey Mantle Baseball Regional Tournament Saturday as they will face the Adrian Dirtbags in a consolation game at Borden Field starting at noon.
The Redbirds dropped a pair of games in the round robin portion of the tournament Friday.
They were beaten by Foutch Strike Zone 12-3 in the afternoon. Coldwater scored three times in the last of the second on a RBI ground out by Cole Smith, a bases loaded walk to Brady McFarland, and a wild pitch which scored Chase Sunderland to take a 3-1 lead. Foutch took the lead for good in the top of third with a two out bases loaded double.
Rylan Brockway and Dayten Yearling both had two hits for Coldwater.
Coldwater lost to the Ottawa, Illinois Mustangs 2-1 Friday night.
