HILLSDALE, MI (WTVB) – The body of a 62-year-old Hillsdale man was recovered Saturday afternoon in about 18 feet of water of South Sand Lake.
The Hillsdale County Sheriff’s Department says that around 1:30 p.m. Saturday Raymond Lyle Gibson entered the water voluntarily, and moments later went out of sight. The Hillsdale County Sheriff’s Department Dive Team and Marine Patrol found Gibson’s body about four hours later.
South Sand Lake is located in Hillsdale County’s Hillsdale Township.
