COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The National Weather Service has now issued an Excessive Heat Warning for the entire area from today into Saturday.
According to the NWS, the heat index is expected to climb as high as 110 for many locations. Heat illnesses are likely for those spending prolonged periods outside or in non-air conditioned environments. They say vehicle interiors can reach lethal temperatures in just minutes.
The high temperature Thursday is predicted to be 88 degrees, with highs both Friday and Saturday at 94 degrees. There is a chance of scattered showers Sunday with a high of 81. Monday’s high temperature is expected to be 78.
