COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The continuing construction project on South Jefferson Street in Coldwater is causing a detour for this year’s Branch County Fair Parade.
Instead of the usual path north on Jefferson Street to U.S. 12, the parade route will jog over from the fairgrounds to Division Street before heading north to U.S. 12, and then go west on U.S. 12 to Clay Street before heading south again.
South Jefferson is currently being reconstructed from U.S. 12 to East Park Avenue.
The project will allow crews to make necessary replacements to infrastructure such as curb, gutter, sidewalk, water systems, storm systems and sewer systems.
The project is now expected to wrap by the end of August, weather permitting.
