JONESVILLE, MI (WTVB) – Michigan State Police at Jackson are investigating what they are calling a false bomb threat which took place early Tuesday morning at the Martinrea factory in Jonesville.
Troopers were sent to the factory at about 2:20 a.m. after a message was found on a bathroom wall which indicated a bomb would explode.
Martinrea staff contacted 911 to report the incident. The building was evacuated as a precaution.
A Michigan State Police explosives detection K-9 was brought in to search the facility. No explosive devices were found after a search by the K-9 and troopers and the threat was called false.
Troopers conducted interviews while Hillsdale County Sheriff’s deputies assisted at the scene.
