ANN ARBOR, MI (WTVB) – American soccer fans hoping to watch superstar Lionel Messi play are out of luck.
Messi suffered a grade one strain to his right calf during a training session, and will miss Barcelona’s preseason trip to the United States, sitting out matches against Napoli in Miami Wednesday and in Ann Arbor, Michigan Saturday.
Although Barca has not put a time frame on his recovery, Messi doesn’t seem to think the injury will keep him sidelined for long.
