COLDWATER, MI – (WTVB) – Due to the resignation of Jean Milnes which is effective at the end of the month, the Coldwater Community Schools Board of Education is searching for an eligible candidate to fill the soon-to-be vacant position.
Whoever is selected would serve between January 27 and December 31, 2020.
The seat will re-open for the November election in 2020; at which time, the seat will be for a four-year term which will expire at the end of 2024.
Eligible candidates must be a qualified school elector which means that the applicant must be a registered voter; be at least 18 years of age; a citizen of the U.S.; a resident of the state of Michigan for at least 30 days and a resident of the school district.

The deadline for applying is 5:00 p.m. on Monday, January 13, 2020.
The Board of Education is scheduled to consider and appoint a new board member during the next regular business meeting which scheduled to be held on Monday, January 27, 2020.
