COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The Bronson Vikings went 4-1 and finished second Saturday at the Coldwater Classic wrestling tournament at the Coach Floyd Eby Gymnasium.
The Vikings defeated Chelsea 39-33, Marshall 66-18, Onsted 57-23 and Sturgis 58-21 but lost to Coldwater 44-36.
Ben Modert (119) and Justin Blankenship (189) both went 5-0 on the day for Bronson. David Derr (103), Perry Lake (112), Brenyn Fee (130), Craig Tappenden (160) and Brady Long (285) all went 4-1.
Meanwhile, the Bronson J.V. wrestling team finished seventh out of 16 teams at the Eau Claire, Indiana Tournament. The top finisher was Dakota Miller who was third at 119 pounds.
