COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – Now that Santa Claus is done for another year, the next few days and nights will be busy one for some Branch County high school sports teams.
In basketball, the Coldwater boys and girls teams will be competing Friday and Monday in the Cornerstone High School Holiday Tournament in Grand Rapids. The girls will face Rockford Friday night while the boys will take on Grand Rapids Forest Hills Northern.

The tournament consolation and championship games will take place Monday, December 30.
The Bronson High School boys basketball team will face Bellevue at 12 noon Friday as part of the Chuck Turner Central Fieldhouse Classic at Battle Creek Central.
The Union City girls and boys basketball teams will also be taking part in the Chuck Turner Classic Saturday as both teams will face Battle Creek St. Philip. The girls game will be at 10:00 a.m. with the boys game at 12 noon.
In other high school sports Saturday, Bronson will compete at the Lawton Wrestling Invitational while Union City’s wrestlers will be at the Colon Magi Team Invitational.
Bronson’s varsity bowling teams will be in action Saturday at the Portage Northern Holiday Singles Tournament.
