COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – It’s a new record high for December 26 in Coldwater as the old record of 52 in 1936 was shattered Thursday.
The record was broken at sometime around 1:00 p.m.. The high temperature as recorded at the Branch County Memorial Airport Thursday was 60 degrees which was reported at 2:55 p.m..
The record high followed a Christmas Day high of 56 degrees which missed the 1982 record for the holiday in Coldwater by five degrees.
How unusual was the weather on Thursday? Coldwater’s temperature was warmer during the last afternoon than such places as San Diego (59), Los Angeles (55) and Las Vegas (44).
