NEW LOTHROP, MI (WTVB) – The Bronson High School wrestling team had one champion and finished in a tie for eighth Saturday at the New Lothrop Hall of Fame Invitational.
The Vikings were also honored by tournament officials as they were chosen for a Good Sportsmanship award.
They were among 24 teams from around Michigan competing.
Bronson’s Ben Modert improved to 22-0 for the season as he won the 119 pound title.
Two other Vikings made the medal stand. Justin Blankenship (21-2) was second at 189 pounds while Craig Tappenden (13-3) was fourth at 160 pounds.
