BATTLE CREEK, MI (WTVB) – Calhoun County’s sheriff will soon lead more than just his county.
The Michigan Sheriff’s Association has chosen sheriff Matt Saxton as the organization’s new executive director, replacing the retiring Allegan County Sheriff, Blaine Koops. A contract still needs to be written.
Saxton has been with the Calhoun County sheriff’s office since 1994, and was first picked as sheriff in 2013.
