BATTLE CREEK, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — The Calhoun County Sheriff’s Office confirmed that a deputy tried to stop a vehicle for multiple violations around 8:00 p.m. on Cherry Street near Green Street in Marshall, but the driver did not stop.
When the deputy attempted the stop, the vehicle in question accelerated but came to a stop 10 blocks up the road. The driver attempted to flee on foot but after a brief struggle, was caught and arrested.
The 23-year-old suspect was lodged in the Calhoun County Jail on multiple charges.
The charges include fleeing and eluding, resisting and obstructing, a probation violation warrant, and fail to appear warrant.
