COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The case of a Coldwater man who is facing five charges for alleged sex crimes involving underage girls has been bound over to Branch County Circuit Court.
31-year-old Michael Robert Cunkle waived his preliminary exam that was scheduled for Tuesday in Branch County District Court.
Cunkle is scheduled to appear for a pre trial conference in Circuit Court on March 30th.
He was arrested following a Branch County Sheriff’s Department investigation which started in August 2019.
The Branch County Prosecutor’s Office filed charges of second degree criminal sexual conduct, indecent exposure, aggravated indecent exposure and two counts of accousting for immoral purposes in which the alleged victim was under the age of 16.
Court documents indicate the three alleged victims in the case are under the age of 12.
Cunkle’s bond was set at $50,000.
