COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – Officials at ProMedica Coldwater Regional Hospital are trying to shoot down rumors on Facebook and by word of mouth that suggested the hospital’s Emergency Center is closed and they were turning away patients.
Hospital officials say those rumors about the Emergency Center are absolutely false. The ProMedica Coldwater Regional Hospital Emergency Center remains open 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
ProMedica encourages community members to rely on credible sources of information only, including ProMedica, local news, local and state officials, and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
Because of the COVID-19 outbreak, the hospital is currently restricting visitors in the Emergency Center. No visitors are presently allowed in the Emergency Center unless it is in the best interest of the patient.
The hospital is also allowing only one adult 18 and over to accompany a pediatric patient.
