BRANCH COUNTY, MI (WTVB) – The National Weather Service has issued a Wind Advisory from 8:00 a.m. Sunday morning until 8:00 p.m. Sunday night in southwest Michigan, northern Indiana and northwest Ohio.
Forecasters are calling for southwest winds of 20 to 30 miles per hour with gusts up to 50 miles per hour.
Unsecured items may get blown around in the gusty winds. Tree limbs could also be blown down onto power lines and cause outages.
The high winds in the forecast for Sunday following some early Saturday morning thunderstorms that rumbled through Branch County.
The Michigan State University Extension Service weather station at the Bloom Dairy Farm measured almost three-quarters of an inch of rain from Friday night through late Saturday morning.
