QUINCY, MI (WTVB) – Authorities say a dispute over a bill last Saturday led a Quincy area man to allegedly fire several gun shots into the air while threatening two family members.
29-year-old Michael Heath Dunn was formally arraigned on four counts Monday during a video arraignment in Branch County District Court. He is facing two counts of felonious assault as well as charges of felony firearm and reckless use of a firearm.
Dunn was arrested following a Michigan State Police investigation.
According to Branch County court documents, the whole incident took place following an argument over an electric bill as Dunn allegedly used a handgun to twice fire shots into the air.
He is free after posting 10 percent of a $20,000 bond but Dunn is to have no contact with the alleged victims.
A probable cause hearing was scheduled for April 9 with a preliminary exam set for April 16, 2020.
