BATTLE CREEK, MI (WTVB) – Two more positive COVID-19 cases in Calhoun County have been reported by the Calhoun County Health Department which brings the total number of cases in the county to 19.
The department reported Tuesday evening that the 19 positive cases were among 182 tests that have been conducted on individuals who are called “persons under investigation”. Those persons have symptoms of the coronavirus or have been in contact with a confirmed COVID-19 patient.
There have been 100 negative tests while 63 test results are pending.
The department warns that the use of unapproved and un-researched prevention and treatment methods could prove dangerous to you and your family.
Health Officer Eric Pessell urges residents to use trusted sources for information on COVID-19 prevention. He says, “right now, we do not have a treatment or vaccination to protect against this illness. The best thing you can do is stay home, wash your hands, and, when you must go out, practice social distancing.”
