ALBION TOWNSHIP, MI (WTVB) – Area law enforcement authorities are looking for a suspect but two others are in custody after an Albion Township business was broken into on Sunday afternoon in the 12000 block of 27 Mile Road.
The Calhoun County Sheriff’s Department says employees arrived at the business and startled three men who then ran into a wooded area.
One subject was taken into custody in the 27000 block of C Drive North after a short foot pursuit.
Additional perimeters were set up and a Calhoun County K9 began a track for the second subject who was later seen trying to flee though a field on a motorcycle or moped.
The suspect was eventually taken into custody at a residence in the 26000 block of C Drive North.
Two men from Albion Township were lodged at the Calhoun County Jail. Several stolen items were recovered and returned to the business.
Deputies were assisted by Albion Public Safety and the Michigan State Police.
