HILLSDALE, MI (WTVB) – It has been difficult month for the Hillsdale County Medical Care Facility.
The facility has had eight residents die from COVID-19. The latest person to pass away was a man who died over the weekend.
Officials say he suffered from multiple underlying conditions and he passed away on Saturday.
Several staff members have also been infected with the virus.
But officials optimistically reported on the facility’s Facebook page on Tuesday that seven residents have exceeded the 14 day post positive COVID-19 mark and are no longer considered “positive”.
They add that four more residents will surpass the clinically important 14 day post positive date on Wednesday and currently they have no pending results for tests on residents.
