COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The Burnside Center’s Creative Quilters group have put their talents to use to help keep Burnside employees safe during the COVID-19 pandemic.
As supplies of personal protective equipment dwindled all over the state, the group sprang into action and had a full stock of masks complete within a week.
“It was a group effort of donations and sewing,” said programs director Freda Leupp. “We miss all of our seniors very much, including the Creative Quilters group. We are so thankful that they could put their talents to use to help keep our employees safe,” said executive director Amy Duff.
When the Burnside Center resumes normal business hours, the Creative Quilters will meet on Mondays from 9:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
