COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – Only one new local COVID-19 case was reported on Saturday by the Branch-Hillsdale-St. Joseph Community Health Agency.
The new case was in Branch County where the number of positive cases is now at 47 outside of the Lakeland Correctional Facility.
No new cases were reported in Hillsdale County where there have been 109 COVID-19 cases.
It was the same story in St. Joseph County where 27 cases have been reported.
There have been 17 deaths in the C.H.A.’s jurisdiction including 14 in Hillsdale County. Nine of the deaths have taken place at the Hillsdale County Medical Care Facility.
Two deaths have been reported in Branch County and one death has taken place in St. Joseph County.
The Calhoun County Public Health Department reported as of Saturday there have been 195 positive cases in its jurisdiction so far with 51 being hospitalized and 10 deaths.
The department also reported 16 persons are currently in the hospital while 79 have been released from isolation and 46 others have been released from quarantine.
The Michigan Department of Health and Human Services reports there have been a total of 8,342 recovered COVID-19 cases in the state as of Friday.
The total number of confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Michigan now stands at 37,203 with 3,274 deaths.
