The family of Betty L. Zabonick, 86,of Bronson, is saddened
to announce her passing on Friday, May 29, 2020 at Maple Lawn Medical Care
Facility.
We will greatly miss our times with her and her vibrant personality.
However, we are brought peace knowing she can rejoin her beloved husband and
sister, sons-in-law, and many lifelong friends.
Betty was born June 24, 1933 to Russell & Helen
(Higbee) Nelson. She married Charles W. Zabonick, Jr. on August 3, 1951. He preceded her in death on September 3,
2002.
Betty was a teller at Bank of America in Bronson for many
years. If you knew her well, you’ll recall her love of a good time and feisty
personality!
From days at the golf course to evenings at the basketball
games and card games, she was always surrounded by friends. She loved spending
time at the lake with her family and could ride around on the boat for hours.
Betty is survived by her daughters Karen Hyska, Myra Belote
both of Bronson, her brothers-in-law Jim (Marilyn) Zabonick, Jerry (Janet)
Zabonick all of Coldwater, her grandchildren Jenelle (Bryan) Wheeler, Ryan
(Megan) Hyska, Matthew (Stacy) Hyska, Sarah Belote and Garrett Belote; her
great grandchildren Brookelyn Wheeler and Aspen Hyska.
In addition to her
husband, she was preceded in death by an infant son Mark Alan Zabonick, her
sister Beverly Marz and her sons-in-law Bill Hyska and Dan Belote.
In lieu of a funeral in this strange time, our family will
be hosting an intimate memorial in the upcoming weeks. It is our hope that you will share a few of
your memories with the family at
www.dutcherfh.com.
Memorials may be directed to Bronson Athletic
Boosters.
