COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The Branch-Hillsdale-St. Joseph Community Health Agency and the Center for Health and Wellness of Sturgis says that out of an abundance of caution, they are notifying anyone who sought care at CHW since June 15 to monitor for symptoms of COVID-19.
Officials say four staff members at CHW have tested positive for the virus.
Any patients who had close contact with a staff member at CHW and either the patient or staff member were not wearing a mask are further asked to self-quarantine for 14 days.
The agency is asking anyone with symptoms of COVID-19 to get tested and to self-isolate to prevent exposing others.
Individuals that have been in contact with someone who has COVID-19 need to self-quarantine for 14 days and monitor themselves for fever, cough, and shortness of breath.
Meanwhile, the C.H.A. reported a spike of COVID-19 cases in its jurisdiction on Wednesday with 19 new cases reported in St. Joseph County, five cases in Branch County and four cases in Hillsdale County.
Branch County has had the most coronavirus cases in the three counties with 241 followed by 239 in St. Joseph County and 177 in Hillsdale County.
People who are concerned that they may have COVID-19 should contact their healthcare provider and call ahead before visiting any healthcare facility.
