MARSHALL, MI (WTVB/WNWN) – Calhoun County officials announced on Wednesday that the Marshall Recycling Center will reopen at noon on Tuesday, July 7 with new hours of operation.
The facility will be open Tuesdays and Thursdays from 12:00 noon until 5:00 p.m., Wednesdays from 9:00 a.m. until 12:00 noon and on the third Saturday of the month from 9:00 a.m. until 12:00 noon. The staff will wear PPE while recyclers must remain in their vehicle and wear a mask while their vehicle is unloaded. All recycling must be placed in the farthest position available in your vehicle.
The volume will be limited to what would fit in a 96-gallon curbside cart and all recycling needs to be sorted. Recycling should be placed in a non-returnable container. Any containers that weigh more than what one employee can lift, will be left in your vehicle.
It’s anticipated these changes will be in effect at least through the summer but they will be reviewed and adjusted as necessary.
