BATTLE CREEK, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — Around 8 p.m. Thursday the Battle Creek Police Department released a statement saying the vehicle shown in the surveillance footage was located; however, they determined that it was also not involved in the double homicide on June 16.

BATTLE CREEK, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — Battle Creek Police are asking for the public’s help locating a vehicle that could be connected to a double homicide investigation.
The silver or gray older model Dodge Durango was seen driving through the back alley behind West Rittenhouse Avenue the night two people were shot and killed when gunfire broke out at a birthday memorial to remember 23-year-old Elijah Williams who was also shot and killed in Battle Creek last fall. It is believed that the durango has a black or dark colored driver’s door.
The fatal shooting happened just after midnight Tuesday, June 16, at a home in the 100 block of West Rittenhouse, between South Washington and Meachem Avenues.
The victims have been identified as 30-year-old Leon Jackson and 23-year-old Diamond King.
