COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – Short’s Root Beer Stand on West Chicago in Coldwater is temporarily closed after an employee tested positive for COVID-19.
The business got the report Wednesday afternoon. It was posted on the business’ Facebook page that the employee last worked on Saturday, August 8.
Short’s closed at about 4:00 p.m. Wednesday after a discussion with the Branch-Hillsdale-St. Joseph Community Health Agency. Entrance to the business parking lot was blocked by traffic cones.
They plan to reopen Monday from 11:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. for call-in orders. Full service is scheduled to resume on Monday, August 24. Short’s apologizes to their customers for any inconvenience.
Short’s is the second Coldwater eating location to close this summer due to an employee testing positive for COVID-19. The Willows closed on July 9 and reopened 11 days later.
