BATTLE CREEK, MI (WTVB/WNWN) – As local school districts develop and approve plans for the upcoming school year, the Calhoun County Public Health Department continues to work with them.
Calhoun County Health Officer Eric Pessell says “each district is in a difficult position, and they are doing what they believe is best with their available resources.”
Pessell says he will continue to work with leaders and will help them through whatever plan they decide to adopt.
Officials say the best information about school plans will come directly from the districts.
As of Wednesday, Calhoun County has a cumulative total of 711 confirmed cases of COVID-19 reported to Calhoun County Public Health Department with 41 deaths attributed to the virus.
