LANSING, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – The Michigan Secretary of State’s office will provide extended hours and special appointments for residents who need to renew their driver’s license or state ID in person by the end of September.
Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson said that the appointments are only for those who have to renew in person and can be made at the SOS website or by calling 888-767-6424.
The appointments are for times between 4 p.m. and 7 p.m.
Benson said that most residents can use the online service or renew by mail, but those who must do it in person should get more opportunities due to the pandemic situation.
