COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The Coldwater Community Schools Board of Education approved 19 bids submitted by contractors and suppliers for the Coldwater High School boys locker room project on Monday night.
In approving the bids, the board directed Owens-Aimes-Kimball to issue letters of intent to the low bidders.
Superintendent Terry Ann Whelan said it was the last major package to bid out as the district has undertaken a series of infrastructure improvements in recent years following the passage of the $29.75 million bond issue in November of 2017.
It is not only being used to pay for the new Lakeland fourth and fifth grade elementary building on Western Avenue, it is also funding improvements to five facilities in the district.
Whelan said so far, they were under budget on all projects by over $1-point-1 million.
