COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – In hopes the ongoing problems with the heating, ventilation and air conditioning at the Burnside Senior Center in Coldwater can finally be rectified, the Branch County Board of Commissioners approved recommendations made by the Commission on Aging Board on Tuesday.
An engineering study on the facility was performed by BYCE and Associates which is the company serving as the architects and engineers for the new Branch County Jail project.
They provided some options to the C.O.A. Board. The Board in turn recommended that the HVAC system be tested and balanced and that a dehumidifier be installed.
There was also discussion during last Thursday’s work session about the possibility of passing along the costs for these fixes back to the original architect and contractor. No formal action on that matter was taken during Tuesday’s meeting.
