BUTLER TOWNSHIP, MI (WTVB) – It was an emotional season-ending program at Butler Motor Speedway on Saturday night as the memory of veteran race driver Terry Wilber was honored.
Wilber passed away last Thursday at the age of 55 after suffering a heart attack at the track on August 29.
His racing career spanned over 32 years.
Wilber’s illness and subsequent death led to many on line fundraisers to help the family out during this difficult time.
Kaleb and Jake Wilber honored their father by leading numerous drivers around the track while other drivers and spectators showed their appreciation at the top of the dirt track.
To top the evening off, Tim Wilber won a pair of feature races.
