MARSHALL, MI (WTVB) – Two Marshall High School students have tested positive for the COVID-19 virus in recent days.
Marshall Superintendent Doctor Randy Davis wrote a letter to parents on Monday when they got information about the first positive test from the Calhoun County Public Health Department.
Another letter was sent on Tuesday when they got word from the Health Department about the second positive test.
Davis says that at this time, it has been determined that both of these cases are not associated with each other and both originated from outside of Marshall Public Schools.
He added there are no students or staff considered of “close contacts” of either student who tested positive.
In his letter posted on the district’s Facebook page, Davis stated they are moving forward under the guidance of the Health Department and that all measures have been taken to protect the well being of children
