COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – A motorcyclist was injured in a crash late Wednesday afternoon on the west side of Coldwater and at last report police are looking for a semi driver who apparently caused it.
Coldwater Police investigated the crash which was reported at 5:17 p.m. on U.S. 12 at Willow Lane next to the Coldwater River bridge.
The injured motorcyclist was taken to ProMedica Coldwater Regional Hospital after complaining of shoulder pain.
The semi that is being sought was last seen heading to the east. Coldwater Police say it changed lanes and caused the motorcycle to hit the curb which in turn caused the rider to be thrown off the bike.
First responders from the Coldwater Fire Department, LifeCare Ambulance and the Michigan State Police were also at the scene.
Traffic in the area of the accident was tied up for almost a half hour.
