COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – A Coldwater man was arraigned in Branch County District Court on Monday following a stabbing incident at the Tall Grass manufactured home community.
29-year-old Angel Luis Davilla-Camacho has been charged with assault with intent to do great bodily harm less than murder. His bond was set at $25,000.
Coldwater Police were dispatched on a report of the stabbing incident at about 1:50 p.m. on Sunday afternoon.
They say it happened after two men who were living together got into an argument. One of them went back inside of a residence to get what was described as a large kitchen knife.
During an ensuing struggle, the victim sustained minor slashing and a minor puncture wound. He was treated at the scene by a Life Care Ambulance crew.
It was believed the blade of the knife got caught in a shirt as the men struggled which prevented more serious injuries.
Davilla-Camacho was eventually booked at the Branch County Jail following an investigation into the incident. The Branch County Sheriff’s Department and the Michigan State Police assisted Coldwater Police.
