COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – Three cases filed against a Quincy area man who is facing 14 counts for alleged crimes that involved stalking, indecent exposure and the illegal use of computers were bound over to Branch County Circuit Court on Thursday.
34-year-old Zachery James Toth waived his preliminary exams that were scheduled to take place Thursday morning in Branch County District Court. A pre-trial conference in Circuit Court has been scheduled for October 26,
Following a Branch County Sheriff’s Department investigation, Toth is facing charges of using a computer to commit a crime, aggravated stalking, aggravated indecent exposure, malicious use of telecommunications and unlawful posting of messages with aggravating circumstances.
According to Branch County court documents, the alleged crimes started in the middle of April. Toth is accused by Branch County authorities of using his Facebook account to send numerous sexually explicit and graphic videos to three females.
One of the alleged victims told investigators she received between 30 and 35 such messages during a nearly one month period. Another alleged victim said after he told the suspect to stop contacting her, the suspect responded with numerous harassing, intimidating and hostile messages.
Toth’s bond remains at $150,000.
