COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – Coldwater lost to Angola three games to one Thursday night at the Coach Floyd Eby Gymnasium.
Coach Kelsey Closson said, “We lost in 4 but this is the best I have seen them play so far. Tonight they played with a lot of heart and confidence. We just need to learn to adjust quicker on our defense and be smarter on our offensive plays. But overall, I saw a lot of good things happening tonight.”
Abby Herman led in kills with 10 and led in digs with 17
Veronica Gonzalez had 8 kills and led the team in aces with 3
Laynee Paarlberg led in assists with 23 and added 12 digs
Kenzie Scheid had 5 kills and led the team in blocks with 5
Maddie Beckhusen added 12 digs
Coldwater is now 2-2 overall. They will host Marshall next Wednesday in an Interstate 8 matchup.
