COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – It was announced late Friday afternoon that long time Branch County 9-1-1 Director Kurt Spalding will be retiring.
In a news release issued by County Administrator Bud Norman, the county and Spalding jointly announced the retirement after over 35 years of service.
Norman says the retirement is effective on September 30.
Spalding worked closely with the 911 Advisory Board and the Board of Commissioners to address multiple challenges including endlessly changing technology as well as development of personnel.
The statement went on to say, “the county thanks him for his efforts and contributions to Branch County and 911. Branch County wishes to express its appreciation to Kurt for his many years of service to the County.”
