BRANCH COUNTY, MI (WTVB) – Summer may not officially end until Tuesday morning at 9:31 a.m. EDT but it is expected to be a frosty overnight.
Branch County is including in a Frost Advisory from 2:00 a.m. until 9:00 a.m. on Saturday morning that covers southern Michigan as well as northern Indiana and northwest Ohio.
Temperatures will tumble into the 30s. Paired with calm winds, areas of frost are expected.
Freeze warnings have been issued for the northern half of Michigan’s Lower Peninsula as lows are expected to drop into the low to mid 20s.
It maybe early for Branch County to get a frost but National Weather Service records show the earliest frost in Coldwater took place on September 7, 1918. The latest frost was recorded on October 29, 1920.
