BRANCH COUNTY, MI (WTVB) – The Michigan High School football season gets underway three weeks later than originally scheduled Friday night. There will be COVID-19 protocols in place which includes limiting spectators to two per player.
Each team in Michigan will play six regular season games. All teams will qualify for the playoffs which will start on October 30. The 8-player state finals will take place on November 27 and 28 with the 11 player finals on December 4 and 5.

Quincy opens up at home against Homer while Bronson plays Jonesville at Hillsdale College.
Union City’s game at Reading which was originally scheduled for Friday night has been switched to 12:00 noon Saturday in order to accommodate officials for the game.
In 8-player football, Tekonsha opens their season at Litchfield.
In J.V. Football games on Thursday night, Coldwater defeated Jackson Northwest 14-6 while Union City lost to Reading 22-6 and Quincy was beaten by Homer 27-0.
