Beverly Jean Nutt, 90, of Coldwater, passed away Friday, September 18, 2020 at Masonville Place in Coldwater. A funeral service for Beverly will be held Thursday, September 24, 2020 at 12:00 Noon at Dutcher Funeral Home in Coldwater. The family will receive friends for visitation from 10:00 AM until time of service that morning at the funeral home. Beverly’s brother-in-law Dave Hahn will be doing the service. Please wear a mask and follow social distancing.
She was born November 2, 1929 to Edward and Cora (Taylor) Stout in Coldwater. On July 31, 1948 she married Ivan G. Nutt in Coldwater and he preceded her in death on January 28, 2016, they had 67 years together. Beverly had spent time working at Penny’s, Acorn Building Components, Lake Erie Door, and was manager of Ivan’s Lakeside Campground and a homemaker for many years. She was a member of Lockwood Community Church and the Order of the Eastern Star. She was the family famous pie maker, capable of making any pie for any and all occasions but her talents didn’t stop there. She also sewed, crocheted, and knitted and was an avid bird watcher; she especially enjoyed watching the cardinals. Wildlife and the outdoors were a fond past time of hers, from “Campout Whing Dings” to spending time at their A-frame cabin in Manistee, MI. Beverly was a family oriented woman, she loved going to her nephew Jimmy’s barn dances and family dinners always held a special and important place in her caring heart. Beverly lived in her home for the last 68 years!
Beverly is survived by her 4 children, Sandy (Stan Graves) Nutt of Battle Creek, Kip (Nancy) Nutt, Tad Nutt, Tammy Nutt all of Coldwater; 2 sisters, Marilyn Egnatoski of Sterling Heights, Linda (Dave) Hahn of White Pigeon; 5 grandchildren, Kalan, Megan, Lindsay, Andrew, Tyler; 4 great grandchildren, Kash, Avett, Ivan, Eliza; many loving nieces and nephews; and her best friends, Betty Walker, Noreen McLatcher, and Sam & Pauletta Teachout.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Ivan, 1 brother James Stout, and 1 brother-in-law James Egnatoski.
Memorials are suggested to Elara Caring Hospice.
