BRONSON, MI (WTVB) – With the Bronson School District shut down through Friday, Bronson Athletic Director Jean LaClair announced on Tuesday night that all Bronson Junior and Senior High School athletic contests and practices are cancelled for the rest of the week.
That included the Tuesday events as the boys tennis team was scheduled to host Brooklyn Columbia Central and the Girls Volleyball team was scheduled to play at Jonesville.
After earlier in the day announcing that four students had tested positive for Covid-19, the Bronson Community Schools district announced late Tuesday that they will be closed Wednesday, September 23 through Friday, September 25.
School officials say the closing is out of “an abundance of caution,” and will allow them to deep clean and sanitize all buildings, as well as continue to process of contact tracing for those students and households affected.
