COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – Economic Development Assistant Audrey Tappenden told the Downtown Development Authority on Wednesday that downtown Coldwater businesses have received over $135,000 in state and local grants to help deal with the COVID-19 pandemic.
She said a dozen downtown Coldwater businesses have gotten funds through the recently announced Small Business Restart Grant and that 30 businesses in Branch County have received a total of $150,000.
Tappenden said the money for the downtown has come from nearly a half dozen sources including $24,000 from the Small Business Relief program and $60,000 from Small Business Restart.
Tappenden said the figures did not include PPP federal funds or Economic Injury Disaster loans.
