CAMDEN TOWNSHIP, MI (WTVB) – Three persons were injured Thursday afternoon when two vehicles collided at the intersection of South Edon and West Montgomery Roads in Hillsdale County’s Camden Township.
The Hillsdale County Sheriff’s Department reports the crash happened just before 2:00 p.m. when a vehicle driven by 79-year-old Jonathan Binkley of Toledo, Ohio failed to stop for a stop sign and collided with another vehicle driven by 68-year-old Darrell Wayne Cordell of Reading.
The Binkley vehicle then struck a utility pole and came to rest in a yard.
Cordell’s vehicle overturned and spun. It came to rest upside down as the trailer dislodged from the hitch.
Deputies say everyone involved in the crash were wearing their seatbelts.
Binkley and his passenger, 79-year-old David Binkley of Perrysburg, Ohio, were flown by Life Flight to St. Vincent’s Hospital in Toledo.
Cordell was transported by the Reading Emergency Unit to Hillsdale Hospital.
The crash is still under investigation.
