DETROIT, MI (WTVB) – Detroit Pistons general manager Troy Weaver has completed his basketball operations staff.
The team has six new hires, including Britta Brown and Harold Ellis. Brown has been named senior director of basketball administration and previously served as an assistant athletic director at Eastern Michigan University.
Ellis rejoins Detroit as a pro personnel evaluator. He was a Pistons assistant coach during the 2008-09 season and a scout for the team from 2009-12.
Meantime, Los Angeles Clippers head coach Doc Rivers is out of a job. The team mutually parted ways with Rivers Monday after seven seasons at the help.
The Clippers fell short of expectations when they were eliminated in the second round by the Denver Nuggets earlier this month inside the bubble in Orlando.
Multiple reports state the Philadelphia 76ers and the New Orleans Pelicans have already reached out to Rivers about their openings.
