COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – Trick or treating will still take place around Branch County on Halloween this year but some other activities will not happen due to COVID-19 restrictions.
Coldwater City Manager Keith Baker told the City Council on Monday night that they are recommending Trick or Treating take place on Halloween Night from 5:30 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.
So far, there have been no plans announced for the annual Coldwater Halloween Parade and it looks like it will not take place this year due to COVID-19 restrictions and protocols.
In addition, the annual Halloween Parade and Safe Trick or Treat in Quincy will not be held this year. The Village of Quincy is suggesting Trick or Treating take place on Halloween from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m..
The Bronson Free Masons decided this week to cancel the third annual Bronson Trunk or Treat due to COVID-19 restrictions and protocols. Trick or Treating in Bronson will take place on Halloween night from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m..
Trick or Treating in Union City is scheduled to take place from 6:00 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. on Halloween Night.
Residents who choose to participate in Halloween activities are being asked adhere to any public health recommendations from the Branch-St. Joseph-Hillsdale Community Health Agency. Any household with a positive COVID-19 case should not participate as well as individuals with symptoms.
